Great work from everyone on the collaboration board. I especially liked Arsh's, Shahd's and Ayaan's!

In school today, Lex told us a way of remembering rounding:
4 to the floor - you round down
5 to the sky - you round up

Feedback for Handwriting and Spelling:

WOW. Matching the spelling words to the definition, EVERYBODY got full marks. Give yourselves a high-five ✋🏽

Well done to Aaliyah and Olivia for getting 4 out of 4 on the quiz.

Again, what a fantastic week you have had - keep up the good work!

We are all very excited to see what amazing work you produce next week!

Have a great weekend and stay safe!

Thursday 25th February Feedback

Well done everyone for your learning today! I cannot wait to be able to do this in class again soon!

Everyone participated in FLIC brilliantly today, giving all the activities a go! In the matching pairs, some of you got it right fist time! Well done so far to Amina, Arsh, Faizan Hussain, Fatima Hamid, Isha, Jake, Kasey, Moeez, Muhammad Junaid, Mustafa, Nathan, Noore and Zahara!

Amazingly, you all got your prime numbers correct too! Here is two examples of the prime number square from Aqib and Fatima Tariq:

In maths, it was quite a tricky lesson today, but you all did so well. A huge well done to Amina, Khadija, Moeez and Yusuf Amin who managed to get 16/16 on the fill in the blanks activity! That was difficult, so well done! Lots of you also did great with this, getting at least 10 of the answers correct!

There was some fantastic work completed today! Here are some examples from maths:

In GASPS, a MASSIVE well done to Chloe Higson and Muhammad Junaid who got 5/5 in the time to climb spelling game!

I also like your work with finding synonyms. Lots of you did so well in this and here are some examples:

Remember, a preposition tells you the position of something:

In Art, lots of you picked 'Sunflowers' as your favourite artwork by van Gogh, but Nathan really liked Starry Night. I think I agree with you there Nathan, although I do like the bright colours in the sunflower image. Ayaan Mirza, I look forward to seeing your final drawings after saying you will try and draw them!

I really like the way some of you explained which artist you thought was the odd one out and why too. Well done everyone!

Wednesday 24th February Feedback

Hello everyone! Well done on a fabulous day online. You have done another fantastic job!

In maths, lots of you did so well with the 1-2 challenge! The only one a few of you got a little bit mixed up with was 0.9 is greater than 0.89. Remember, you need to look at the tenths column. In 0.9, there are 9 tenths and in 0.89, there are 8 tenths. Therefore, 0.9 must be greater!

Well done to everyone though, you all worked so hard! Especially Yusuf A, Ayan Khan and Suleman, who got every answer correct!

Another well done to everyone who got 8/8 on the fill in the blanks so far:

Aaliyah, Aqib, Arsh, Ayan K, Ayesha, Conor, Faizan, Fatima, Grace, Hammad, Ibraheem, Kasey, Khadija, Maisey Mills, Maisey Wass, Moeez, Nathan, Noore, Olivia, Sameeha, Suleman, Zahara and Zainab S.

I loved the 2-3 challenge collaborate board:

These answers really showed your understanding of the objective, well done!

In VIPERS, I loved all the different answers to the open ended question about Picasso. What I loved most is the way you all used the text to give evidence for you answer. Well done!

Finally, in science, it was amazing to see your answers to the alien mail! I loved Conor's answer:

I also loved these email replies from Sadia, Roselyn, Maisey Mills, Maisey Wass, Grace, Fatima H, Fatima T and Nathan:

Earth was the odd one out and I loved your imagination! Well done everyone!

Keep up the hard work!

Miss Duffy 🌸

Tuesday 23rd February Feedback

Children, it was SO lovely to see some of you today on our zoom! It has made me so excited about everyone coming back to school.

Even with zooming going on, you have done a fabulous job with your learning today!

In maths, lots of you are now able to understand and identify numbers with 3 decimal places. You all did a fantastic job with the 1-2 work, just remember that after the decimal point, the columns are tenths, hundredths and then thousandths. Here is a selection of the work today from 1-2 from Ayesha, Ayaan and Laaibah.

There were some fantastic answers to the open ended question in maths too. I really liked the way Sadia, Amina and Fatima H explained their answer.

Finally, for the 2-3 challenge, I loved your answers on the collab board and it just shows how many of you really understood decimal numbers up to 3 places. Well done everyone!

In GASPS, well done to Moeez and Zahara for being the only two to get the matching pairs right first time! Amazing work!

Another well done to Amina, Aqib, Arsh, Fatima H, Grace, Maisey Mills, Moeez, Nathan and Zahara. These children got 4/4 on the fill in the blanks! Lots of you managed 3/4 though, so well done!!!

Finally in GASPS, I loved your preposition sentences on the collab board:

Lots of you said about playing games ON your consoles! Well done!

In geography, well done to those of you who gave it a really good go at trying to locate major countries in Europe.

Even though it was tricky, lots of you really tried and persevered with it! Finally in geography so far, I have been so impressed with the children who managed to get 12/12 on the matching European countries with their flags.

Well done Amina, Conor, Moeez, Nathan and Zahara!!! Amazing flag knowledge!

I hope you had all had a lovely day and I look forward to seeing all of your work tomorrow!
