Tuesday 23rd February 2021

What an amazing day of learning yesterday! Well done everyone!

Remember, have a go at every activity set, even if it is a bit tricky! You are all doing such a fantastic job of persevering and staying motivated, so please keep it up!

For your lessons today, we have Maths, GASPS, Geography and Collective Worship. We also have two brilliant activities from Natalie too!

In maths, you are looking at decimal numbers again, so use what you learnt yesterday about tenths and hundredths. In GASPS, we are going to change the way we have been doing these lessons to be more like how we would do it in school. Mrs Johnson will explain a little more about this in the lesson! In Geography, as part of our new topic, your objective is to locate the major countries in Europe on a map. I have tried something a little bit different with this lesson, so let me know if it works okay! Then, you also have a lovely collective worship lesson from Mrs Burns.

FLIC - ZAHMK

Maths - G5MF9

GASPS - 5J4HI

Geography - HRJW8

Collective Worship - GTFEV

Here are the videos of Natalie's lessons for you:

I am very much looking forward to seeing all your work from today. Look out for the feedback post later to see if you can spot any of your fabulous work!

Thank you everyone!

Finally, some maths feedback for you.

I've been so impressed with how amazing you have all been at telling the time! Especially when converting the time from a 24-hour digital clock!

Especially Ethan and Zahara!

Remember to look carefully at where the hour hand is pointing.

Today's Time to Climb leaders are:

Today's calculating the area of compound rectilinear shapes was super tricky - but you all did amazing! It's clear to see you have listened to the example and explanation slides carefully. Great work!

Look at this great work from Grace and Arsh.

Some tips to help when calculating the area of compound rectilinear shapes:
Split the shape into two rectangles first
You multiply the length by the width
Add the two areas together

Don't forget...

FRENCH DAY TOMORROW! In my house we will be having a French breakfast and i will be wearing the colours of the French Flag :)
