Tuesday Feedback - GASP, FLIC and Maths

Hi all,

Well done to everyone who has logged on today and completed one or all of the lessons. I'm so proud of your continued hard work even in this lovely nice, spring weather. Keep it up!

In maths, we were looking at multiplying a decimal by a whole number - I hope you all enjoyed the video of my hands ha ha!!

There were some excellent answers explaining how much money Rosie would have which was £49.95. Well done to all of the children who got that correct. Here is Zahara's detailed explanation...

Well done to everyone who got the answers correct on challenge 1-2. Here are Muhammad Junaid's answers. Well done...

Well done to everyone who had a go at the challenge 2-3, especially Faizan, Aimee and Amina - it really was tricky.

In FLIC - we were covering some new concepts and revising some we had covered before. Well done to Fatima H, Yusuf A, Noore, Kasey and all the other children who completed 100% of the work. I was so impressed.

Here was an example from the opened question on the months of the year and how many days are in each month. Excellent answers from Amina and Arsh...

Well done to Nathan and Reda for getting 5/5 and top of the leader board for the 'time to climb' activity. Also, these two children scored well....

Imaad, Khadija, Moeez and Shahd did really well in the matching pairs activity and Nathan and Noore completed them all correctly first time...

Here are the answers for the times tables speed test...
Well done to all for your super hard work in FLIC...

In GASPs, we had lots of children complete the lesson today. I loved the collaboration board - it is tricky sometimes using a word as either a noun or a verb. Here was the board from today...

Well done to Wilay (our new boy in y5/6, who we look forward to welcoming on Monday) and Haroon who persisted in the matching pairs activity until they got it right. Well done boys!!

Well done to the following children for the 'fill in the blanks' activity...

Well done to those children who used the word 'watch' as a noun correctly. Here are some examples ...

Look out for separate Geography feedback coming from Ms Carney too. Enjoy your Wednesday and I'll be back on Thursday.

Take care and keep safe,

Mrs Johnson 🌹🌸🌷

Geography Feedback

Well, even with the sun shining and your imminent return to school, you are all still showing commitment to your learning. So, first of all let me congratulate those of you who have completed 100% of the activities, showing perseverance when you may have found the activites a little tricky. Well done to...

Amina Iqbal, Fatima Tariq, Kashif, Muhammad Junaid, Mustaf and Nathan

Well done to those children who got 9/9 on the fill in the blank activity....

Mustafa, Fatima, Amina, Zahara and Nathan

And to those children who got 5/5 on matching the countries to their names in between 5 and 7 tries....

Mustafa, Aqib, Fatima, Zahara, Nathan, Maisey Wass, Amelia, Amina

Fatima Tariq, Nathan and Roselyn did an excellent job of identifying the countries on the map...

Tuesday 2nd March

 Good morning Y5/6,

What a fantastic day we had yesterday!! Apologies again for the VIPERS code. I don't know what happened. Thank you to those children who sent a comment or email to let me know so that I could get a new code up and running quickly. Sorry if it caused a delay for any of you.

Another sunny March day today and now less than one week until we are all back together again!! Today we have FLIC, maths, GASP and Collective Worship for the morning and look out for Geography from Miss Duffy/Ms Carney this afternoon.

In Collective worship we are continuing the theme of friendship - which I can't wait to get properly into next week when we can see our friends again at school! Maths is multiplying decimals and I've filmed some little videos for you so hopefully you can understand exactly what to do.

Good luck with all of the lessons and let me know if you need any help!!

Keep up the good work - not long to go now!!!

Mrs Johnson 😍

Children – well done to everyone today who has accessed any of the near pod lessons. Your relentless attitude and motivation to on line learning from home never fails to amaze me. I’m so proud of you all and can’t wait to have you back in class.

RE.

Well done to the children who had a go at all of the activities and therefore achieved 100% participation, as we’ve said before it doesn’t matter even if you got some of the questions wrong – you gave it a try and we’re proud of that. Those children were:- Aimee, Arsh, Chloe H, Elfira, Faizan, Fatima T, Fatima H, Grace, Ibraheem, Iman, Khadija, Kashif, Maisey M, Maisey W, Moeez, Muhammad Junaid, Nathan, Roselyn, Shahd, Sadia, Suleman, Yusuf A, Zahara and Zainab S.

Children you all did so well on the Quiz – it’s really good to know that you understand that Easter is such an important time for Christians.

I also enjoyed these answers …

Maths

Abeeha, Aimee, Grace, Ibrahim, Khadija, Maisey M, Moeez, Nathan, Sameeha, managed to complete 100% of the maths activities today so absolutely fantastic work and well done!

The answer to the open-ended question was wrong and lots of children correctly answered this question. Here are some excellent explanations of why Micha was wrong…

Well done to Mustafa who correctly rounded all of these decimal numbers correctly…

Well done to Aimee for completing the table correctly…

Well done to Suleman for making his way through the maze correctly…
