Hello again children,
I just want to start this blog with another huge WELL DONE! You really are doing an amazing job and you have adapted so well to learning online. It was lovely to speak to some of you today too! Please keep up the hard work, you are making us feel so proud.
English
In English, you all did such a good job in identifying and using main and subordinate clauses. For the 'Fill in the blanks' activity, lots of you got it right and I just wanted to say a massive well done to those children who did.
When changing the subordinate clause to the beginning of the sentence to make a fronted adverbial, lots of you had a really good try at this. Just be careful with punctuating the sentence correctly. I must say a special well done to Roselyn, Kasey and Amelia. You wrote perfectly punctuated sentences with a main and subordinate clause - fantastic work!
In the quiz, a big well done to Tauseef, Zubair and Reda. Your three got all your questions correct! I have no doubt you are fully confident with main and subordinate clauses now!
History
I am amazed at the work you have all done in history and all the new knowledge you have about the Victorians. Thank you children for all your hard work!
In the 'Time to Climb', Iman got all 8 of the questions correct! She is the only one to manage this so far - a super well done to you Iman. Lots of you did incredibly well with getting 7 correct, well done Arsh, Grace, Imaad, Kashif, Shahd, Khadija and Zak!
Finally, I have been so impressed with some of the answers to the 2-3 challenge for History. Here are the responses from Aidan, Ayesha, Hammad, Maisey Mills and Travis. These are brilliant responses - well done!
Finally, some of you have been going above and beyond today and have completed all FOUR lessons! So, a MASSIVE, AMAZING, SUPER WELL DONE to:
Abdul Manan, Amelia, Arsh, Ayesha, Chloe Higson, Ethan, Grace, Imaad, Iman, Jake, Isha, Kashif, Laaibah, Maisey Mills, Muhammad Junaid, Mustafa, Roselyn, Reda, Travis, Sadia, Shahd and Zubair.
Keep up the hard work and I will be back on tomorrow to see how you are getting on.
Lots of love,
Miss Duffy 🌸
